BPScan answers one question: what will this perp trade actually cost, all-in, right now?

The formula

All-in cost = taker fee × 2 + slippage (entry + exit) + funding over the holding period.

Fees

Base-tier public maker/taker rates, verified against each venue's official documentation. VIP tiers, referral and staking discounts are not applied — your personal rate can be lower. Promotional rates (e.g. Ondo Perps −50%) are used while active and noted in code.

Slippage

We walk the actual order book level by level for your exact size — both entry and exit — using the deepest data each venue exposes: WebSocket full-book feeds where available (Lighter, Bitget, HTX, Extended, GRVT, Pacifica), otherwise the deepest REST snapshot (up to 20,000+ levels on Bybit, 5,000 on OKX). Inverse contracts (Deribit, BitMEX) are walked in USD notional with harmonic average pricing. Books that look mirrored/painted are flagged.

Funding

Funding rates are normalized to hourly using each instrument's real interval (1h/2h/4h/8h — read per-instrument from venue APIs, never assumed). Projections over your holding period use the current rate and are shown as a range, because funding drifts. Venues with unknown funding are excluded from the BEST verdict on multi-hour holds.

Oracle / RFQ venues

Venues without an order book (Ostium, Variational) are priced from their public quotes: fees + full quote spread. They are marked indicative everywhere.

Limitations

Numbers are estimates, not firm quotes. Personal fee tiers, RPI liquidity (visible only to logged-in takers on some venues), JIT auctions and latency can move your real fill. Data staleness is labeled per venue; a health monitor checks book liveness every 15 minutes.
